#Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Clay Matthews seemed to suffer a repeat injury. He did. Broken thumb again. Couldn’t cast & play last time

It hasn't felt like he's had the same impact this season as he's had in the past but he's finished the season with 7.5 sacks in 11 games. Add in the fact that he's been held back, at times, this season by the enormous cast he played with on his right hand for one game and a hamstring injury. He's given the team all he could this season. The good news is that bones will eventually heal and the medical staff is probably going to take zero chances now that he's re-broken it. His 2013 season should be over but he'll come back at 100% for 2014. Get well Clay.
